In 1996, Mr. Yu Zeliang, the chairman of the company, established Guangdong Zeliang Storage Battery Co. Ltd in Longtang, Qingyuan City.

In 1997, the company was recognized as “enterprise strictly abide by contract and with credit” by Administration of Industry and Commerce of Guangdong Province.

In 1998, the company was recommended as one of the “23 special brands of China storage battery in the year of 1998”.

In 1999, the company was recommended as one of "specially recommended manufacturers of China export products qualified enterprises in the year of 1998”.

In 2000, the company passed the certification of 1S09001 quality management system.

In 2006, the company became one of the first enterprises who obtained the "National Industrial Production License" issued by General Administration of Quality Supervision. In the same year, the valve sealed lead-acid battery products passed the TLC certification.

In 2007, the company passed the IS014001 environmental management system certification and obtained the Certificate of "Product Quality Inspection-free" issued by General Administration of Quality Supervision.

In 2010, the products of the company were recognized as "Famous and Excellent Product of Guangdong Province";

In 2015, the company was recognized as "High-tech Enterprise of Guangdong Province" and obtained the Top Ten Brands of China Storage Battery Industry.

In 2016, the company obtained the Ship Certificates of Inspection issued by China Classification Society (CCS).

In 2018, Won the honorary certificate of "2018 Guangdong Famous Brand Product"; Meier Polymer Materials Co., Ltd. was established

In 2021, the Oakley Group will be officially upgraded and established.
